MPO Board Officer Nominations for 2023 (5 minutes)

Narrative
Per the MPO Board bylaws, officer elections are to be held at the last regularly scheduled meeting of the calendar year. The bylaws allow for a Chair or Vice Chair to serve two consecutive terms. Since Mayor Weaver is at the end of her first term as Chair, she is eligible to be elected to a second term. The same is true for Vice Chair Howard. The bylaws further state that the Chair and Vice Chair may not come from the same county.
At the November 2022 MPO Board meeting, Chair Weaver stated that she would create a nominating committee that would report back its recommendation at the December 2022 Board meeting.

Board Action: Receive the recommendation from the nominating committee and elect officers for 2023.
