Narrative
On October 5, 2020, the Durham City Council adopted the Move Durham study, a visioning document for transportation improvements in Central Durham. This study establishes a multi-modal transportation vision to maintain and promote a safe, reliable, convenient, connected, and equitable transportation network. It was funded through a combination of STBGDA funds provided through the DCHC MPO, State Planning funds, and City matching funds. Many of the recommendations of the report are requested to be considered in future MPO adoptions of the CTP, MTP, TIP, and Durham County Transit Plan. Ellen Beckmann, Planning Manager for the City of Durham Transportation Department, will present the findings and recommendations from the study.
