Narrative
The Durham and Orange County Transit Plans direct the allocation of revenue levied from the additional half-cent sales tax and vehicle registration fees that voters approved in 2011 and 2012, respectively, to fund transit projects in the two counties. The Plans were updated in 2017; however, due to the discontinuation of the Durham-Orange Light Rail Transit project, development of new plans are currently underway.
A presentation will provide information on existing conditions and pipeline projects for Durham County that are being used in the development of the plan, as well as an update on next steps and upcoming events. A presentation will also be made on the process that will be used to update the Orange County Transit Plan.
