Narrative
The Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act, adopted by Congress in 2015, is the current federal law governing transportation. It is set to expire in 2020. A proposed new transportation law, the America's Transportation Infrastructure Act (ATIA), would replace the FAST Act upon adoption. A draft has been through one Senate committee. A summary of the current draft is attached.
