Narrative
The 2017 Orange County Transit Plan allocates $6.1 million to the Chapel Hill North-South Bus Rapid Transit (NSBRT) Project. Chapel Hill Transit has requested an additional $8 million in dedicated transit revenue be allocated to the project through an amendment to the 2017 Plan. This amendment is intended to provide the Town of Chapel Hill with evidence that fifty percent of the non-federal match is dedicated to the project through the Transit Plan. The DCHC MPO Board is one of three parties to the Orange County Transit Plan. The other two, including the Boards of the Orange County Commissioners and of GoTriangle, have already approved the amendment.
