Safe Routes to School Resolution (5 Minutes)

Narrative
The N.C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT) has set aside $1.5 million of Transportation Alternative Program funds for Safe Routes to School programming that can be used by communities to develop creative programs that educate children and parents about safely walking and bicycling to school, and has opened a call for applications. In the DCHC MPO region, the City of Durham and and the Triangle J Council of Governments have prepared and submitted Safe Routes to School funding applications. A resolution endorsing the applications is attached.
Recommendation
TC Action: Recommended that the MPO Board adopt the resolution.
