STBGP Call for Projects for FY2018 and Previous Years (15 minutes)

Narrative
Federal regulations require a competitive call for new projects that will utilize locally administered STBGP funds to be entered into the Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Plan (MTIP). Therefore, the DCHC MPO is issuing a call for projects to be entered into the FY2018-27 MTIP. Projects must be submitted to LPA staff by April 17, 2017.
Beginning in FY2015, and in each fiscal year since, local jurisdictions began receiving a sub-allocation of STP funds. Some funds have been programmed in the UPWP, other have been programmed in the TIP. With the recent adoption of the FY2018 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), local jurisdictions will have the following amounts of direct allocation funds available for this call for projects:
• Town of Carrboro: $277,386
• Town of Chapel Hill: $828,750
• Chatham County: $34,997
• City of Durham: $2,155,267
• Durham County: $3,589
• Town of Hillsborough: $146,563
• Orange County: $17,330
Through this call for projects, the funds listed above should be allocated to projects either within the MTIP, the UPWP, or flexed to transit.
LPA staff will forward an application form to all local jurisdictions.
