Narrative
Transportation Demand Management (TDM) is the application of strategies, practices, and policies to reduce the demand for single-occupant automobile travel. Since 2007, the Triangle J Council of Governments has served as administrator of the Triangle 7-Year Long-Range TDM Plan and has overseen the distribution of funding for local and regional TDM programs. The Triangle TDM program is jointly funded by DCHC MPO, the Capital Area MPO, and the NCDOT Public Transportation Division.
