Narrative
The Wake County Transit Plan was approved by the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) on May 18, 2016 and by GoTriangle on May 25, 2016. Wake County is requesting that the DCHC MPO, Durham County, Orange County and Burlington-Graham MPO; 1) Approve the Wake County Transit Plan, specifically the financial plan as required by the Local Government Sales Tax Act (N.S.G.S. 105-508, et seg;) and 2) Approve and execute the attached Agreement between GoTriangle, Durham County, Orange County, Wake County, CAMPO, DCHC MPO, and Burlington-Graham MPO Setting Forth the Mutual Understanding of the Parties.
Recommendation
TC Action: Recommended the DCHC MPO technical subcommittee convene to receive presentation from Wake County, review the Wake County Transit Plan, the Financial Plan contained within the Transit Plan, review the Transit Agreement between jurisdictions and agencies, and prepare a recommendation for the MPO Board.
Board Action
Board Action: Receive presentation from Wake County and discuss the Wake County Transit Plan, the Financial Plan contained within the Transit Plan, the Transit Agreement between jurisdictions and agencies, and receive recommendation from the August 5, 2016 DCHC MPO technical subcommittee meeting.
