Narrative
FY21 UPWP Amendment #2 proposes to reduce funds allocated to planning tasks for the Town of Carrboro. This is done to reduce funds where they are no longer needed and to increase funds available for infrastructure projects.
Several reductions relate to tasks on which work has been completed and therefore remaining funds are not needed in FY21, specifically tasks II-B-1, II-B-2, and II-C-1.
Task III-A (Planning Work Program) has its funding reduced, as less staff time has been needed to complete the UPWP reports.
Task III-C-6 (Public Involvement) has reduced funding, as less staff time has been needed to coordinate public meetings via Zoom (S Greensboro Sidewalk, Morgan Creek Greenway, Jones Creek Greenway) than in person.
Task II-A-1 (Traffic Counts) has been reduced as count data collected by Town of Carrboro staff is not easily converted into the MPO standard.
Recommendation
TC Action: Recommended that the MPO Board approve FY21 UPWP Amendment #2.
